Today, 25th November 2020 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the world is turning Orange 🍊 to stand against gender-based violence.
Whoever sees this today:
We hear you.
We see you.
We believe you.
You are not alone.
Even before Covid-19 hit, Violence Against Women and Girls had reached pandemic proportions.
243million girls experienced sexual and physical violence from their partner in the last year.
As doors closed and isolation began with the outbreak of Covid-19, reports of all forms of violence against women and girls, particularly domestic violence, began to rise.
At the same time, legal, health and social support services became limited and less accessible.
While the pandemic of violence against women is not new, it’s not inevitable...
... Unless we stay silent.
At Healglobal, our vision is to build a healthy society; free for all and the #16days Activism against Gender-Based Violence championed by the @unwomen is another great opportunity to take a stand against this horrific spike of unhealthy practices.

We are grateful we are able to gaze out and enjoy our views, but not everyone is as fortunate as so many of us. Approximately 285 million people worldwide live with visual impairments.
Don’t take your vision for granted, support World Sight Day by bringing awareness to blindness and vision impairments as an International public health issue.

We cannot control what happens in the world around us but we can choose how we interpret and interact with it. Cleaning up our thoughts and forgiving ourselves is a great way to start.
